Terms of use

These terms cover the EnergyBalance app for iPhone and Apple Watch, made by EnergyBalance Labs LLC. By using the app you agree to them.

The license

EnergyBalance is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The points below add to it.

Not medical advice

EnergyBalance works out estimates from the data you and your devices record. It is a tool for understanding your own tracking. It is not a medical device and gives no medical, dietary or training advice. Talk to a doctor before changing your diet or exercise, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Train within your limits; you are responsible for how you lift.

The figures are estimates

What the app shows depends on what your food app, scale and Apple Watch record, and on a model of how bodies use energy. All of those can be wrong. Do not rely on any single figure.

Subscriptions

• EnergyBalance is sold as a subscription to Energy, to Lift, or to both, through the App Store.
• The price and the length of any free trial are shown before you buy.
• A subscription renews by itself until you cancel. Cancel at least a day before the end of the period, in your iPhone's Settings under your name, Subscriptions.
• Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.

Your account and your data

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in to yourself. Your data is yours: our privacy policy says what we hold and how to delete it.

Fair use

Do not try to break the service, get at other people's data, or use the app for anything unlawful.

Changes and ending

We may change the app or these terms; the current terms are always on the website. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that abuses the service.
